Cool Mini Expo 2013 was a great event. We had so much fun playing games of Rivet Wars and teaching people how to play. People would learn how to play and then be teaching others how to play! And it was nice that someone could jump in and play without the cards and rivet costs and get going really quickly and then add those elements later to increase the strategic elements. I also enjoyed the panel on the development process of Rivet Wars. I got to show some really early protos and minis and do a nice long Q & A. Everyone was so nice and enthusiastic. I’m really excited for next year!

Work in Progress Allied Fighter

Here’s a look at the allied fighter. This plane is also a pusher, like the Blight fighter, with the engine in the back. But this plane has a longer nose and two larger vertical fins. This allowed for some interesting placement of the landing wheels. Also note the large air cooled radial engine.

Here’s a look at the blight fighter. This image shows how the cockpit plug works if the player doesn’t want to deploy a pilot, hero, or turret into the airplane. The cockpit plug is just there to make the plane look complete. I’m getting these ready for a HUGE display we might be doing for GenCon!

Vert Tank Announcement

Today I received word that I could officially show images of the vert tank field tests. A military contractor thought the vert tank design could be effective in urban combat environments and we have been working with them on developing a prototype for a feasibility study. So far the vert tank has been tested in environments with small roads and alleys that would make it impossible for larger mechanized vehicles to accompany troops. I’m glad we could finally share this with you guys on this special day. It really looks like we’re getting in the fight!
